Remembrance Day
Today the children took time to reflect and be thankful for what was done by many people in the past to help us. Each class wrote a message of thanks to the war veterans who gave their lives or were injured in wars for the safety of others. As is our tradition, these messages were tied to the poppy for each class in our sensory garden making the focal point for our 2 minute silence.
We welcomed Mr Ransom, chair of the local British Legion who spoke to the children about the importance of taking time to reflect and be thankful on Remembrance Day. He also presented the school with a certificate of appreciation for the fundraising that the children have done for the local British Legion this year. During the week we have also collected funds for the Poppy Appeal and look forward to hearing how much we have raised for this very worthy cause.
