Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

The children had a wonderful day celebrating the Platinum Jubilee.  They decorating crowns to wear to a party and made bunting for the playground.  They were joined in the afternoon by two special quests: an amazing mannequin of the queen and the Shepton Mallet Town Crier.  The children were presented with commemorative coins by the Town Crier and then listened to songs performed by the school choir.  They continued to celebrate with cakes on the field.  Children also took part in a competition to design a commemorative plate for the celebration and winners will be announced on return to school in June!  Well done to everyone for taking part and for dressing up in red, white and blue to celebrate together!
