How to join Bowlish Infant School

Welcome to the Bowlish Infant School website. We hope that you will enjoy finding out about our school. If you are looking for a school place for your child, we currently have a small number of places.

We hold annual Open Days, with our next being on Saturday 18^th October 2025.

You are very welcome to tour the school at a separate time and meet the Headteacher. To arrange this, please call the School Office on 01479 342514.

Applying for School
In the first instance, if your child is going to join us in September you will need to register with and apply through the Local Education Authority.

The application portal is currently live and you can apply online at www.somerset.gov.uk/admissions or phone Somerset Direct on 0300 123 2224 for a paper copy of the application.

The closing date for Primary Phase Admissions is 15/01/2026.

If you are moving into the area and would like your child to gain a place at our school you will need to complete an 'in year school transfer form', which can be gained from your child's current school.  Alternatively, we can provide you with the form if you need one.
