Late/Absence Procedures

It is important that children attend school regularly and that they arrive to school on time, ready to learn.  The school bell is rung at 9.00am and at this point the children should have been taken to their classroom and been received by their Class Teacher or Teaching Assistant. The classrooms are open from 8.50am and children can enter the school building from this time until 9.00am. If children arrive at school after this time their parents should take them to the school office to be signed in.

Arrivals after 9.00am but before 9.15am are recorded in the register as a late arrival.

Arrival into school on or after 9.15am is recorded as an unauthorised absence due to the child arriving after the time that the register is closed.

Unauthorised absences should be avoided in order to maintain good attendance.
