Headteacher's Welcome
Welcome to our school. Whether you're a current parent, a prospective family, or simply exploring our community, we hope this website gives you a real sense of the warmth, care, and ambition that define our school.
Bowlish Infant School is a much-loved school with a rich history, and we are proud of the support we receive from our governors, parents and wider community. We are deeply committed to providing the best learning experience we can, and to ensuring that every child who joins us is valued, nurtured and supported as a unique individual. Our school motto is “Try your best” and we want all our children to feel proud when they have. Through this, we focus on intrinsic reward; staff celebrate success and recognise how success can be measured in many ways, with your child’s personal and creative development being valued equally.
Children at Bowlish, spend their days with staff who love working with infant children and believe learning is a life-long venture, which starts young. Our teachers expertly structure and deliver the curriculum to be Creative and Challenging supported by dedicated Teaching Assistants. What our children experience every day, encourages achievement and a love of learning in a carefully considered learning environment designed to enable and empower.
Our 3 Words: Safe, Calm, Ready, guide daily life in school. We create a welcoming and secure environment where children feel safe to explore, calm in their surroundings, and ready to learn, grow, and thrive. These principles support not only academic progress but also emotional well-being and personal and social confidence.
Walking around the school, feeling the ‘buzz’ of happy, engaged children is the privilege I have every day; Bowlish Infant School really is a very special school to be a part of.
If you are looking to join our community, please get in touch and I look forward to extending a warm welcome to you and your child.
Warm wishes,
Rebecca Eldred – BA (Hons), NPQH
